Dr Tan Teck Choon

Dr Tan Teck Choon graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2003. His interest in systemic autoimmunity developed as a medical officer in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). Upon completion of his basic training in Internal Medicine, he went on to complete his advance specialty training in Rheumatology and Clinical Immunology/Allergy at TTSH from 2009 to 2012. This was followed by a clinical fellowship in Clinical Rheumatology and Laboratory Immunology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Australia in 2014. From 2014 to 2016, he served as Consultant at the Department of Rheumatology, Allergy and Immunology, TTSH. He concurrently held the appointment of Deputy Director, Clinical Immunology Laboratory (CIL), TTSH. Dr Tan is presently serving as Consultant Rheumatologist in Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, and Visiting Consultant to the CIL, TTSH. He has research interests in idiopathic inflammatory myopathies, lab immunology and clinical interests in chronic urticaria and angioedema, drug allergy, and musculoskeletal ultrasound.
